The RAP School
Wednesday 21st October, 2026
The Rap School helps young people find their voice through rap as spoken word poetry, using it as a powerful tool for creative writing and performance.
Rob, who runs the Rap school, kicked off the day with a whole school assembly. The children and staff were treated to a performance titled Hot Chilli; the children chose 12 words at random and Rob then performed a freestyle rap using all the words. It was great fun, and Rob is just so good!
After Assembly, all classes took part in rap workshops throughout the day. The Rap School workshops are designed to engage young people in writing and performing raps to help build their poetry, literacy and confidence skills. Each workshop is a mix of artist performance, games, writing tasks, and student performance.
It was such a fun day, thank you so much Rob for visiting us!
